I’m a seafood girl. I can’t help it. I grew up in a coastal state. When you grow up in a coastal state and have access to fresh seafood, it’s pretty hard not to have seafood at the top of the things you love. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you probably know that I’m a major advocate for sustainable seafood. Heck, I even have a cute little picture on my sidebar proclaiming that my blog supports sustainable seafood. Actually, it was at last year’s Sustainable Seafood Blog Project Conference where I was first introduced to Wild Selections®. Wild Selections® is an awesome company, and I really enjoyed spending the weekend learning about their products and commitment towards sustainability.
Sustainability is so, so, so important for our ecosystem. Actually, here, let me give you an infographic courtesy of Wild Selections®. It explains the importance of sustainable fishing, providing a fun way to learn more about how Wild Selections® is making a difference in ensuring the seafood we love is around for future generations.
Let me tell you about this easy smoked tuna dip. It’s SO good, y’all. It’s light and refreshing and perfect with crackers. I grew up eating tuna dip, so this recipe is near and dear to my heart. If you’re hosting a party this summer, I highly suggest you make this smoked tuna dip. You won’t regret it.
Isn’t it beautiful? Wild Selections® tuna holds together perfectly, so the dip has a great texture. Although this is a dip, it would totes be delicious as a sandwich. Perhaps on a croissant? The best thing about this smoked tuna dip? It’s made with all natural Non-GMO Project verified sustainable tuna. Not to mention, the tuna has a delicious taste. Wild Selections® is the only full line of Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certified sustainable seafood. The blue MSC eco-label tells you the fish in your can comes from well managed fisheries and healthy fish stocks. Wild Selections® also works to ensure a fish-full future: Wild Selections® gives back to the oceans by donating 13 cents from every can sold—a total of $1 million by 2018—to World Wildlife Fund marine conservation and fishery improvement projects. It’s easy to spot their tuna in stores, they have a cute panda on their cans, which represents their involvement with the WWF. You can also visit WildSelections.com to learn where the fish in your can was caught! Yep, the fish is 100% traceable!
