Do you ever have those days where you just want to hang with the girls and do something crafty and fun? I have those moments all the time. It’s spring, and the weather is beautiful. I decided to invite my girlfriends over for a girl’s brunch and flower party. I served small bites, like cucumber cream cheese sandwiches and crab dip, alongside a variety of Lipton’s new herbal teas. To make the girl’s day even better, I had dozens of flowers for everyone to choose from to make their own bouquet to take home in a vase. It was a lovely day.
I don’t know about you, but I think spring is perfect iced tea weather. Well, spring and summer. But let’s be real. It’s so hot it might as well already be summer. Lipton’s new herbal tea varieties were the perfect addition to our luncheon. I set out different jugs with different flavors, and everybody got to try everything. I set up Peach Mango, Lemon Ginger, Berry Hibiscus, and Apple Cinnamon. I think the crowd favorites were Peach Mango and Berry Hibiscus. The herbal teas were delicious iced, which was a really nice surprise. When I think of herbal tea, I think of hot tea. But now, I have an all new way to enjoy herbal tea, which is a bonus for me because I love both sweet iced tea and hot herbal tea. So to combine the two is a win in my book. What reeeally surprised me though was the boldness of the flavors. They were really refreshing and stimulating, which gives a nice upgrade to an everyday tea experience. Which for me, since I am born and bred in the South, is an all day every day experience. What’s the story behind cucumber cream cheese sandwiches and tea? Is it a British thing? I feel like it should be a Southern thing. Let’s make it a Southern thing.
Since Mother’s Day was right around the corner of the party, my mom got to make her own bouquet of flowers. Sometimes when I pick out flowers for someone, I am afraid they won’t like what I picked out. Having her be able to pick her favorites let her put her own spin on it, guaranteeing she got a bouquet she wanted. Take a look at all of these flowers people got to choose from. Aren’t they beautiful??
There were some lovely shades of pink in the bunch.
Here’s a few shots of my guests picking out their favorite flowers. Oh, you might recognize some faces. Two of my guests were my friends and blogging buddies Amy from The Gifted Gabber, and Kim from Kimberly Herrington.
At the end of the party, everybody went home with their flowers and their favorite box of Lipton’s herbal tea.
What’s your favorite way to drink tea? I am partial to iced tea, but I also love hot tea. Lipton’s herbal teas can also be enjoyed hot, so if you’re not an iced tea drinker, don’t worry.
