White Chocolate Toasted Cardamom Granola Bark is the perfect treat to gift to friends and family during Christmas. Only 3 ingredients needed and ready in no time!
I love the holidays. I love Christmas. I especially love getting ready for Christmas. Growing up, my mom and I would spend at least a week in the kitchen baking all sorts of Christmas goodies to send to friends and family. Cookies, cake, candies, bark..you name it, we made it. It’s one of my favorite pastimes. My family is spread all throughout the US, and often times coming together for holidays is not realistic. To spread Christmas cheer, my mom and I would spend forever in the kitchen making treats to send to everyone. We’ve done it for as long as I can remember, and I look forward to it each year.
This year, one of the goodies I have made to send to everyone is White Chocolate Toasted Cardamom Granola bark. It holds together, it travels well, and it’s delicious. If you’re a fan of granola, you’ll love this granola bark I’ve made using Quaker® Simply Granola Oats, Honey & Almonds. Granola is one of my favorite things to eat, and Quaker® has got some absolutely fantastic granola. It’s deliciously crunchy and has some pretty rockin’ clusters. And I love granola clusters. Who doesn’t? So of course, it would only be fitting to transform one of my favorite snack foods into nice Christmas bark that I can gift to people.
As I was making the bark, I couldn’t help but snack on the granola by itself. It’s so tasty. Seriously. I can’t get enough of those clusters. It’s truly a hearty and satisfying granola. If I don’t end up eating the whole box by accident, I’ll be having the leftover granola for breakfast, or maybe I’ll use it in some trail mix. It’s an excellent source of fiber and has only 9 grams of fat per serving, so it’s perfect by itself or pairing it with your favorite ingredients.
When people can’t be together for the holidays, sending homemade treats are a great way to let people know you’re thinking of them. If you’re planning on sending out Christmas goodies, why don’t you give my granola bark a try?
I’m also going to send some with K to work to give out to his coworkers. Score some points, eh?
I found Quaker® Simply Granola at my local Walmart in the cereal aisle. Super easy to find.
- 3 Cups Quaker® Simply Granola Oats, Honey & Almonds
- ½-3/4 Tsp Cardamom
- 2 lbs White Chocolate
- Cooking Spray
- Preheat oven to 250
- In a large bowl, add a couple squirts of spray to the granola and give it a stir. Add the cardamom and stir again.
- Spread over 2 cookie sheets and bake for 10-15 min. Make sure you don't burn it.
- Let cool completely, and it will be nice and toasted and crunchy as ever.
- Once granola is completely cool, melt the white chocolate in the microwave in 15 second intervals until melted. Add granola, stir. Spread over flat surface ( add granola on top if you want) and let harden. Break apart.
